The Center for European Studies provides Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) Fellowships to graduate students at the UW-Madison.  These prestigious awards cover tuition and living costs for up to an academic year or a summer, and allow students to improve their language skills and deepen their expertise in European studies

For Faculty

To encourage cutting-edge research, the Center for European Studies offers Faculty Travel Grants to support domestic conference attendance and international research travel for UW-Madison faculty.  The annual call for proposals typicall goes out in the late autumn.  CES also provides Course Development Grants for faculty interested in creating new courses about Europe.  Contact the Associate Director about Course Development grants.
